Safety Australia Group is proud to be exclusively partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a Senior WHS Advisor.

This is a Monday–Friday full time role based on site, with flexibility in work hours and hybrid arrangements. Some intrastate travel will be required.
About the Role
As a Senior WHS Advisor, you will play a key role in influencing, leading, and guiding safety performance across a complex and dynamic organisation. You’ll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders – from operational teams to technical specialists and leadership – to ensure best-practice safety standards are embedded across all areas.
You will lead strategic safety initiatives, mentor team members, and contribute to shaping a positive and sustainable safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with teams to develop and implement effective safety protocols aligned to operational risk profiles
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving to manage short, medium, and long-term WHS risks and opportunities
- Analyse WHS data to identify trends and emerging risks, providing proactive recommendations
- Conduct audits and operational reviews, driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Coach and influence leaders to strengthen safety capability and accountability
- Provide guidance, supervision, and mentoring to WHS Advisors
- Support WHS program delivery across multiple sites, including periodic travel
- Design and deliver targeted WHS training programs
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in a WHS role, with a strong focus on risk management
- Relevant WHS qualifications highly regarded
- Proven experience conducting audits and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment
- Experience mentoring or supervising team members
- Senior First Aid certification
- Valid NSW Driver’s Licence
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
