<p><strong>Contract Period:</strong> 13 July – 26 August</p>
<p><strong>Roster:</strong> 11-hour days, Monday to Saturday (Sunday off)<br />Accommodation and meals will be provided off site. </p>
<p>Our client is seeking an experienced <strong>Project Safety Advisor</strong> to join our team for a short-term project assignment at Kogan Creek (Brigalow QLD). </p>
<p> This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys working in a dynamic project environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of workplace health, safety, and environmental performance.</p>
<p> Accommodation is provided at a nearby village, including meals, with daily transport to and from site supplied.</p>
<p><strong> Key Responsibilities</strong> </p>
<p>As the Project Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the project&#8217;s safety objectives by providing practical health, safety, and environmental guidance across site operations. Your responsibilities will include: </p>
<ul>
<li>Monitoring and promoting compliance with site safety procedures, policies, and legislative requirements.</li>
<li>Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.</li>
<li>Assisting with incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.</li>
<li>Facilitating site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and workforce engagement activities.</li>
<li>Supporting project management in maintaining a safe, productive, and compliant work environment.</li>
<li>Maintaining accurate safety records, reports, and documentation.</li>
</ul>
<p> About You To be successful in this role, you will possess: </p>
<ul>
<li>Relevant WHS/OHS qualifications including S123 Training (or willing to undertake at client&#8217;s cost)</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in construction, infrastructure, energy, industrial, or project-based environments.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and risk management practices.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.</li>
<li>The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a project team.</li>
<li>A proactive approach to safety leadership and continuous improvement.</li>
</ul>

<p> This is an excellent opportunity for a HSEQ professional who enjoys balancing governance, systems management, auditing, and workplace safety.<br /> Reporting directly to the National HSEQ Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the organisation&#8217;s integrated management systems, supporting injury management processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across a national operation.</p>
<p> <strong>The Opportunity<br /></strong><br /> This is a highly visible role that will see you working closely with operational leaders and stakeholders across multiple sites to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, ISO standards, and internal management systems.<br /> You will be responsible for supporting the organisation&#8217;s commitment to safety, quality, environmental performance, and operational excellence.</p>
<p> <strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Conduct internal audits and facilitate corrective and preventive action programs</li>
<li>Assist in leading the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS)</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards</li>
<li>Coordinate national ISO certification and surveillance audits, including planning, scheduling and auditor liaison</li>
<li>Manage compliance reporting and action tracking through the Mango compliance platform</li>
<li>Maintain policies, procedures, records and documentation to meet regulatory and ISO requirements</li>
<li>Develop, review and audit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)</li>
<li>Coordinate and deliver compliance and IMS-related training programs</li>
<li>Analyse compliance, risk and performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement</li>
<li>Conduct risk assessments across warehousing and logistics operations</li>
<li>Support injury management and Return to Work (RTW) programs to achieve positive employee outcomes</li>
<li>Monitor compliance relating to equipment inspections and maintenance requirements</li>
<li>Participate in governance and compliance committees including WHS, Environmental, Modern Slavery and APCO initiatives</li>
<li>Drive a proactive culture of compliance, safety and continuous improvement across the business</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong>About You<br /></strong><br /> To be successful in this role, you will bring: </p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum 3 years&#8217; experience in a WHS, HSEQ or Compliance Role.</li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards</li>
<li>Experience coordinating internal and external audits</li>
<li>Proven ability to manage compliance systems and implement corrective actions</li>
<li>Experience within warehousing, logistics, transport, distribution or a similar operational environment</li>
<li>Understanding of Injury Management and Return to Work processes</li>

<li>Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities</li>
