An occupational hygienist is a scientist or engineer who conducts monitoring on workplace hazards and provides advice to an organisation on how to manage these hazards. Some of these hazards may include:

► Industrial air quality (eg petrochemical, mining and manufacturing industries);
► Indoor Air quality (eg office environments);
► Dust and vapour exposure;
► Hazardous Substances;

Asbestos; and
► Odours;

Our occupational hygienist has extensive experience and is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH). 

 

A COH is certified by the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists (AIOH), an internationally recognised organisation. This certification is an important means for identifying a professional with the right background to help bring solutions to your environmental and occupational health problems. 

Our areas of expertise include:

► Petrochemical experience;
► Dust and vapour exposure monitoring;
► Hazardous substance compliance experience including dangerous goods audits; 
► Preparation and review of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS);
► Chemical hazard and exposure risk assessments;
► Manual handling and ergonomic assessment experience;
► Accredited Auditor in OHS management Systems AS4801;
► Risk Management experience to standard AS4360;
► Preparation of safe work method statements and JSA’s;
► Implementation of policy and procedures;
► Accident Investigation experience (Taproot); and
► Workcover compliance with task risk assessment analysis.
