WHS Harmonisation Information Sessions
On 1 January 2012 new work health and safety laws commenced in the Commonwealth, New South Wales, Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory, and the Northern Territory.
All businesses will be required to adopt changes in Workplace Health and Safety as they are enacted in each State.
At a top level the key changes will include:
► WH&S Consulting ► Enhanced roles for workplace health and safety representatives ► Changes in the roles of trade unions ► Changes in law court jurisdiction ► Revision of penalty and offence structures ► Revision of due diligence obligations.
We can come to your workplace to run one of our information sessions for your executive management team and/or workers, where we will provide an overview of the new legislation, and answer any concerns or questions you have about compliance or Workplace Health and Safety issues.
